I submit my comments and evaluation to Faculty of 1000 Biology for publication by Faculty of 1000 Ltd ("the Publisher"). In submitting my comments and evaluation ("my comments"), I hereby
agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. WARRANTIES
I warrant, undertake and agree that:
1.1 I have full power to agree to these terms and conditions and to give the warranties contained in them and generally to perform all obligations under them;
1.2 I am the sole author of my comments;
1.3 I am the sole legal and beneficial owner of all rights of copyright and all other rights whatever in and to my comments throughout the world and have not assigned
charged or licensed any rights in my comments to any other person;
1.4 my comments do not contain anything of an obscene blasphemous defamatory or otherwise unlawful nature;
1.5 my comments are original to me and do not and shall not infringe any right of copyright, moral right or right of privacy or right of publicity or personality or any
other right whatever of any other person;
1.6 all statements purporting to be fact in my comments are true and correct;
1.7 I shall take all reasonable precautions to keep my Faculty of 1000 password secure. I will also take all other precautions to ensure that my comments may only be
submitted by me or under my control;
1.8 I shall not hold the Publisher liable for technical problems or failures in the publication of my comments howsoever caused;
1.9 I have disclosed all applicable competing interests relating to my comments.
2. ASSIGNMENT
2.1 I hereby assign to the Publisher the entire copyright in my comments and all rights of action and all other rights of whatever nature in and to my comments to which
I am now or may at any time hereafter be entitled by virtue of or pursuant to any of the laws in force in any part of the world TO HOLD the same to the Publisher its successors assignees and
licensees absolutely for the whole period of such rights being capable of being assigned.
2.2 I irrevocably and unconditionally waive all moral rights to which I may be entitled pursuant to the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and any other moral
rights provided for under the laws now or in future in force in any part of the world in relation to the exploitation of my comments by the Publisher its successors assignees and licensees of my
comments.
3. LICENCE
Notwithstanding Clause 2.1, I acknowledge that the Publisher grants me a non-exclusive licence to:
3.1 publish my comments as submitted to Faculty of 1000 Biology for any non-commercial purpose on a website of which I am the owner;
3.2 publish my comments as submitted to Faculty of 1000 Biology for any non-commercial purpose on the website of any institute with whom I am directly associated;
3.3 produce copies of my comments for personal, teaching or academic purposes by photocopying or downloading.
4. RIGHT TO REMOVE OBJECTIONABLE MATERIAL
Faculty of 1000 Ltd reserves the right to remove from the site any comments that are in its opinion libellous, defamatory or in any other way objectionable.
5. CHOICE OF LAW
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales and I agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
6. I CONFIRM THAT I HAVE READ AND ACCEPT THE F1000 PRIVACY POLICY.
